JUST IN: Former House of Reps Speaker, Dimeji Bankole Dumps ADP for APC

Former House of Representatives Speaker and 2019 Ogun Action Democratic Party (ADP) Governorship candidate, Rt. Oladimeji Bankole has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ogun-born politician, on Friday in Abuja, held a closed-door meeting with the National Chairman of APC, Gov. Mai Mala and Jigawa State Governor, Abubakar Bagudu.

The meeting, which took place at the APC chairman’s residence in Abuja, lasted for about an hour.

The official statement of the party reads:

APC CECPC Chairman Buni, Bankole and Badaru Meet in Abuja

The Yobe State Governor and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Hon. Mai Bala Buni, today hosted former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Oladimeji Bankole and the Jigawa State Governor, Alh. Abubakar Badaru.

The three leaders discussed on a wide range of political issues including the movement of the former Speaker and his supporters into the party.

It is evident that APC’s opportunities in Ogun state is growing and widening.

It would be recalled that the former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was also former Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar Presidential campaign organization recently joined the party.
