The Oniro of Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba Sunday Adepoju has charged president Muhammadu Buhari to intensify efforts on security and as a matter of urgency address series of criminal activities, that threaten peace of the country.
Oba Sunday Adepoju stated this, while featuring on a live programme of Oke-Ogun FM 96.3Hz tagged Oro Eto Abo.
The Oke-ogun monarch, while commending Oyo State Governor – Engr. Seyi Makinde on the establishment of Amotekun security outfit and the enactment of anti-grazing law, charged government at all levels, to do the needful, to support the traditional rulers to secure their domains.
He emphasised that the anti-grazing law is meant for everyone irrespective of tribes without discrimination, to achieve food security in the state.
According to Oniro, “Oyo state government should provide necessary logistics and financial support for traditional rulers and security agencies in order to be effective in securing our territories”
The monarch bemoaned the incidents of kidnapping in Oke-Ogun area, charged parents to be responsive to their duties with a view to curbing youth restiveness.
