Oyo Traders Mourn Iyaloja-General, Alhaja Wuraola Kola-Daisi

* Appoint Yeye Justina Iyabode Ogundoyin as Acting Iyaloja-General of Oyo State

The Coalition Of Traders in Oyo State has described the demise of its Iyaloja-General, Alhaja Wuraola Kola-Daisi, as devastating.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition in Ibadan on Thursday morning, the President Ibadan Joint Traders, Alhaji Dauda Oladepo said traders in Oyo State were deeply shocked over Iyaloja-General’s death. Alhaja Wuraola Asake Kola-Daisi, according to his son, Chief Rotimi Jogunosinmi died at the age of 86.

Meanwhile, the Coalition Of Traders has announced the appointment of Yeye Justina Iyabode Ogundoyin, Iyaloja-General Ibarapaland as the Acting Iyaloja-General of Oyo State with immediate effect.

While speaking further, the spokesperson for the coalition appealed to the traditional rulers across the state to steer clear the process of appointing/electing new Iyaloja-General of Oyo State. He stated further that traders unions take advice only from the ministry of trades, commerce and industries.

Alhaja Kudirat Moriyeba Adetunji, the Iyalaje-General, Oyo State described the deceased as “a mother of mothers” and a patriotic, committed leader, who did so much to add value to the traders groups in Oyo State. Alhaja Iswat Abiola Amerigun, the Iyaloja-General of Ibadan and Alhaja Limota Whaab, the Iyaloja-General of Oke-Ogun also lamented the death of Mama Kola-Daisi.

The Otun Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje disclosed that Iyaloja will be buried today, Thursday at her residence, Off Ring Road, Beside D’ Rovans Hotel, Behind Omo Gafo Building, Ibadan by 4pm.

Yeye Kadijat Adepeju Bakare the Iyaloja of Oyo Alaafin said “we would definitely miss our great leader, mother and a solid rock who stood solidly behind the Coalition of Traders even to the point of death.”

Mrs. Danjuma said the traders are with the family at this trying period and would do its best to support them. She prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul while asking God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
