The federal lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola in the House of Representatives, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller, has charged Nigerian leaders and youths to look within for solutions to myriad of Nigeria problems instead of seeking foreign interventions all the time. The entrepreneur-turned politician said posterity would judge them (leaders and youths) right or wrong in years to come.

Hon. Peller who was born 14th May 1976 made this known in a special message to commemorate his 44th birthday anniversary. The special birthday message as obtained by the Pacesetter News reads:

“A lot of young people have given up on project Nigeria, but I see hope, I see opportunity and I believe that Nigeria will become a superpower within my lifetime.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way and manner we live and do things. It has also exposed our infrastructural voids and it has revealed the urgency for achieving the SDGs. Things won’t be the same again.

The post-COVID-19 era comes with a different challenge and presents fresh opportunities. And I see fertile ground for young Nigerians to use their abundant talents to mould the kind of country they deserve.

In keeping tabs with time, it is less than 1000 days to the next general elections. China developed into a superpower in 4 decades, what is our vision for Nigeria in the next twenty years?

It is heart-wrenching to see a country blessed with abundant resources and highly intelligent people not scratching the surface of its true potential.

Let me reiterate that as young Nigerians we ought to know our worth, know our strength and know our power.

To put it succinctly, we are the change we want to see and we must dare to succeed. If we fail, we must fail forward but one thing is certain, we alone can build the Nigeria of our dreams and it is our responsibility to leave a better Nigeria for our children. The Youth of a nation are the trustees of posterity and posterity will judge us.”
