So in considering anyone for appointment as the next Vice Chancellor for LAUTECH, the Governor of Oyo State who is now the sole Visitor to the University should first consider qualified Alumnus if possible.
The University is 30 years old this year and has produced a horde of brilliant academics and administrators making waves globally.
So I suggest a widely traveled Alumnus who has verifiable leadership and administrative acumen, a scholar in the emerging fields of Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Biostatistics, New Media, Urban Studies, Homeland & Cyber security.
Most importantly, LAUTECH needs someone who is passionate about making the University sustainable and taking it to outstanding heights.
I am sure we can get someone with half if not all of these attributes.
