Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate in Oyo North, Hon. Akinwale Solomon Akinwole has directed the suspension of campaign activities in honour of the late Taofeek Olayiwola Arapaja, a Chairman of his campaign council in Iwajowa Local Government who died on Tuesday
Arapaja a grassroot politician and mobilizer from Idiko-Ile in Iwajowa Local Government died in a motorcycle accident while returning home from a function at the council secretariat.
Wolekanle as he is affectionately called said he received the sad news with shock and yet to come to terms that Arapaja is no more.
“With sadness I announce the suspension of all campaign activities for a week in honor of one of us, a brother and friend Hon. Olayiwola Taofeeq Arapaja. May the soul of the departed rest in peace, Amen”, he said.
He also commiserates with the family, political associates, friends and relation of the departed soul and pray that Almighty God grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
