A chieftain of Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State and house of assembly aspirant in the build to 2019 general elections, Hon. Ibrahim Iyiola popularly known as “Dudu Alubarika”, organised a special prayers to mark 8th day of internment of late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
The prayers session was held on Sunday at Ile Anla, Isale Ijebu, Oja’ba, Ibadan.
According to Iyiola ‘Dudu Alubarika’, the special prayers session, was organized to bid farewell to an exemplary leader who did his best to place Oyo state at a very high level amongst its counterparts
‘Dudu Alubarika’ remarked that late Ajimobi was a great nationalist and a political figure who never took anybody for granted.
In his words, “the late former Governor Ajimobi was a father to many people, he did not look down on anybody, he always believed something can come out of anybody”
“Death, we know, is inevitable, but it hits the wrong chord and leaves a huge vacuum in our hearts. It took away a man with a positive impact, a man whose wealth of knowledge and exemplary leadership remain our source of guidance but we take solace in the fact he was able to touch many lives and served humanity to the best of ability,”
Present at the Fidau event were league of imams and Alfas sent by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Agbotomokekere. Alhaji Najeemudeen Abass and Alhaji Musiliu Arowopoko co-coordinated the prayers session.
Also in attendance were the APC Excos in Ibadan South East local government, the executives of Dudu Alubarika foundation and other notable personalities.
