Senatorial: Folarin floors Sunmonu, Ilaka at tribunal

The National Assembly/state assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Ibadan, on Friday dismissed the petitions filed by the immediate past Senator Monsurat Sunmonu of the African Democratic Congress and Chief Bisi Ilaka of the Peoples Democratic Party, both from Oyo central against the election of Senator Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress.
In dismissing the petitions, the election petition panel, chaired by D. M. Igyusu, but read by Sikiru Owodunni, the-three man panel unanimously agreed that both petitions lacked merit.
They were of the opinion that none of petitioners was able to substantiate claims of over-voting and electoral malpractices, pleaded against Folarin’s victory
The court awarded cost of N20, 000 against the petitioners, in favour of all respondents; Folarin, Independent National Electoral Commission and the APC.
Reacting to the judgement, Folarin, thanked God for the judgement and particularly thanked the judiciary for being the last hope of the common man.
He eulogised members of his senatorial district for voting massively for him and was delighted that their decision to elect him has been affirmed by the courts.
 He enjoined both petitioners to now respect the wish of the electorate and join hands in moving Oyo Central forward.
Counsel to both Sunmonu and Ilaka said they had their clients instructions to proceed on appeal against Folarin’s victory.

Pay Tax, Lets Break Poverty in Oyo, Makinde tells Citizens

In order to be able to fulfill his promises on provision of social amenities, enduring infrastructures, regular payment of government obligations and other amenities, the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has pleaded for the support of different stakeholders operating in the State on adequate deductions, prompt Remittance of Taxes and other levies.
This was stated during a One Day Sensitization workshop on Computations, Deductions and Remittances for Federal and State Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as Tertiary Institutions in the state held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariats, Ibadan.
Speaking on behalf of Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Chairman, Oyo State Internal Revenue Service, Aremo John Adeleke reiterated that the intention of the present administration was not going to over-burden any business enterprise either small or big but rather to ensure government get its fair and reasonable share of all its eligible tax revenue.
Makinde said, “Presently, the fluctuations and other complex gyrations of the international Oil market and the global economy means unstable and often lower revenue from Federal allocation. The need to look inward to generate enough internal revenue to cater for the much societal demand has never been this much.
“We count on Companies and other businesses to ensure they regularly deduct and remit their employees’ PAYE tax to covers of our treasury. This will ensure mutual reciprocation of right and duties on the part of all parties. I regard such complying institutions, business and contractors as friends of my government and corporate citizens of this State of enduring opportunities.”
Welcoming the participants in his speech, Aremo Adeleke tasked Professional Bodies, Tax Professionals, Consultants, Taxpayers and Agents to discharge their responsibilities as stipulated by the National Tax Policy of 2017.
He also urged all MDAs, Federal and State as well as Tertiary Institutions to ensure they give patronage only to individuals and companies with a record of regular and up to date remittance of their employees’ Pay As You Earn (PAYE).
In his remark, the head of the partnering firm, Mr Femi Adeniji explained that the workshop was about sensitizing various agencies about their responsibility that pertained to tax and other dues, adding that participants will be taught the right ways of making deductions so as not to shortchange the government.
The workshop had in attendance officials of State and Federal Ministries,Directorates and Agencies (MDAs),private business sectors representatives and other stakeholders.

Be Your Brother’s Keeper, Akinremi Jagaban tells Constituents

The Vice Chairman, House of Representatives committee on science and technology, Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi has congratulated Muslim brothers, sisters and all the people of Ibadan North federal constituency on this year’s Eid-el-kabir celebration.
 
Akinremi popularly called Jagaban in a Sallah message to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji; all the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), council of Imams,  Alfas, Mogajis, chiefs, market men and women, students and artisans in Ibadan North, prayed Allah to grant everyone the grace to celebrate many more years in good health and abundant wealth.
 
He tasked all to remember those who could not celebrate (as they would have loved to) for one reason or the other, in their prayers.
Akinremi Jagaban said “that this year’s sallah coincided with the Church service of our Christian counterparts is a confirmation that God wants all to coexist in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.”
The Ibadan North federal lawmaker therefore admonished all to be their brother’s keeper and celebrate with moderation.
He recalled the reason for the celebration, and tasked all not to lose hope.
According to Akinremi Jagaban, “we must not lose hope. If Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) could receive a ram to replace his son at the last minute, there must be light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria. Let us keep the fire of hope burning.”
He enjoined everyone to remember President Muhammadu Buhari, and indeed all leaders at the federal and state levels in their prayers for God to touch their hearts to do good for the citizens.
Akinremi reassured the people of his constituency of his commitment to strive hard to deliver on all his electioneering promises.
He therefore solicited for their prayers at all times.

Ladoja, Alaafin task Buhari on Insecurity

A former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi on Sunday proferred solutions to the spate of insecurity in the country.

While Ladoja spoke to journalists after Eid prayer in Ibadan, the Alaafin in his EId El Kabir message, through his Chief Press Officer, Bode Durojaiye, said “what we need, as a nation, are sincere, concerted and sustained efforts towards propagating the kind of God-consciousness demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim””.

This, the royal father asserted, will surely guarantee for our nation and for us as individuals a lasting solution to all the challenges confronting us and our life here on earth will be much more peaceful, trouble-free, while the hereafter eternally glorious.

Ladoja also said the government is not sincere in its approach to finding a lasting solution to the myriads of challenges facing the country adding that, if they are ready they will first look at the root causes of the challenges and tackle the same headlong.

 He said the people do not trust the government any more because the government has not fulfilled its promises to the people, adding that there is the need for frank talk between the people and the government to restore mutual confidence to tackle the various insecurity challenges in different parts of the country.

“You know most of the time they talk about insecurity, we don’t sit down to look at the root cause of the problem. If we try to look at the root cause of the problem, then we will know that all these insecurities have got a root.

“And if we are not careful, we will be complicating it. Look at the Shiites people that were said to have been banned. They are calling for another jihad. You know people take their religion very seriously and they will not want their religion to be killed. And that is another problem in our hands.

“The root cause is a question of equity. This is a conventional government both at the federal, state and local level. It was set up by a constitution and the constitution provides for the three arms of government. So, if one arm is dominating the other, then you cannot have the desired peace.

“Why should the court grant El-Zakzaky bail and they refuse to release him? And now the people are saying, release our leader, after all, he has been granted bail and if you don’t want to release him, then take him to court.

“Then if the court ask them to jail him, then its another thing. But, they didn’t take him to court and they didn’t release him and his people are worried and they said the man is sick.

“God forbids, if he dies in detention, we are looking for another problem and these are some of the issues that heightened insecurity apart from the fact that some people also capitalized on these issues.

“We have had some people who stage-managed their own kidnappings. We have had people who kidnapped their parents and so it is a very complex issue and I don’t think
that it is limited to Southwest and it is not limited to anywhere.

“But, I believe the government should look at it from the angle that, there must be root causes. The one of Boko Haram has been technically defeated and yet Generals are dying and soldiers are dying. The Governor of Borno even said nearly three-quarter of his state is not habitable. So, we are not frank with ourselves and we are not sincere with ourselves.

“I say between the government and the people, there must be the trust. A lot of people don’t trust the government again because they tell a lot of lies and if we don’t know if it is the same thing the new cabinet will do. So, these are the things, we are not sincere with ourselves and that is the root cause of insecurity.

“If you report an incident with the security operatives, are you sure the same security operatives will not reveal the identity of the person who gave them the information?”

On the essence of the celebration, Ladoja said people must learn to make and keep their promises either to fellow men and or to God, adding that a life of sacrifice as depicted by Prophet Ibrahim must always be put into practice saying “there is nothing bigger than sacrifice.

Ladoja also cleared air on his purported retirement from politics, saying he is still active in ‘developmental politics’ but said he will not contest for any political office again.

He said “Is it possible for someone to retire from politics? Are you not a politician? And so, what are they talking about? All I said was that I am not contesting again. Is that retirement? That is not retirement.

“I say I am not contesting again but I will always go for developmental politics. Whether I am in partisan or non-partisan politics, if there are any developmental politics, I will always go for it anywhere in Nigeria. So, it is not a question of ‘siddon-look’, I am not ‘siddoning look’.

Two Injured as Thieves Attack Another UI Hostel

Exactly a month that the Obafemi Awolowo female hostel in University of Ibadan was invaded, robbers again invaded Abdulsalam Abubakar Hall of the university in the early hours of Sunday.
Robbers had attacked Obafemi Awolowo hall on July 11, 2019 and injured female students.
The robbers who attacked only the female wing of the Hall reportedly tied security man on duty to have their way.
Two male students who tried to obstruct their sinister mission received machete cuts and have been treated at the University Health centre.
The thieves made away with phones and other valuables.
Speaking on the incident, Chairman Council Committee on Security Professor Ademola Aremu stated that the university is reviewing the security design.
Aremu who visited the hall in company of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Idowu Olayinka stated that the police are working hard to track the invaders.
According to him, the invaders have shown pattern in their operation by attacking female students and invading during holidays when halls are sparsely populated.

Ajimobi Justifies ‘Missing Oyo Govt Vehicles’, Tasks Makinde to ‘Probe Civil Servants’

Former Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state on Sunday justified alleged missing government vehicles in the twilight of his administration.
Ajimobi who spoke with journalists after Eid-el-Kabir prayer celebration, asked his successor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to look inward and examine civil servants for those vehicles recovered from mechanic workshops and other obscure places
Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa had claimed recovery of 19 vehicles taken away by aides of Ajimobi.
Many of the vehicles, according to him, were recovered in mechanic workshops and road sides.
Sepaking on the allegations over the matter, Ajimobi said that the officials paid for the vehicles based on decision taken by the government.
The former governor said that there are papers written on it, urging the incumbent administration to beam is searchlight on civil servants on those vehicle alleged to have been recovered from mechanic workshops.
“When you are in government, there are policies and decisions to be taken. We took the decision that anybody using vehicles at the time should take it away and pay. This is also practiced by the federal and other state governments.
“When I got to office, I didn’t see any vehicle. My brother, former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala took his vehicles away and I did not talk.
“There are civil servants who steal whenever politicians are leaving government. Let them go and check those civil servants.”
He alleged that there were no cotton, furniture chairs and electronic equipments in the government house when he moved into it, saying it was because Alao-Akala left government few days before his resumption.
Ajimobi said that everything at the government house and office were intact because he worked till the last day of his administration.
On insecurity, the former governor described Makinde as very lucky because of the already existing security structure bequeathed to him by his administration.
He called on Makinde to leverage on the many good things his administration did, urging him to make amends where the made mistakes.
“We thank God that he has started seeing some of the good things we did. No government in the state has ever done as much as we have done. This does not mean we did not make mistakes,” he said.
Ajimobi said that he would take the decisions he took while in office if he had the opportunity of being the governor again.
The former governor appealed to aggrieved members of APC to reconcile for the good of the party, saying his only regret was trying to be perfect in an imperfect world.
“There are many of our members who genuinely have reasons to be angry but 90 percent of those angry have no reasons except that they were not appointed.
“The houses, name and titles some of these people are using today, they got it by working with us. Irrespective of whatever grievances, let us come together in the spirit of eid-el Kabir.
“Those I believe have genuine reasons to be angry, I have spoken to them. Some, I will not speak to them, they must come back,” he said.
Ajimobi said that it was the son who begs his father even when the father offends him, saying no matter how bad, a father would not seek blessings from God on the name of his son in heaven.
According to him, “Even Jesus Christ in his lifetime referred to his father, God severally in the bible.”
The former governor prayed that Makinde succeeds, adding that the people stood to gain nothing from his failure.
“I pray that Makinde succeeds and I will support him to succeed anytime. In supporting him, we are helping the state,” he said.

N150 billion: Don’t Mind Makinde, My Administration has Best Debt Profile – Ajimobi

Former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Sunday described his successor’s constant reference to about N150 billion debt he purportedly left behind as ‘a needless mudslinging.’
Ajimobi who spoke with reporters at his Oluyole Ibadan residence, after Eid-el-kabir prayer at Liberty Stadium now Obafemi Awolowo stadium, queried the hullabaloo about the matter.
According to Ajimobi, the state was not among the first 10 states in the list published by Debt Management Office, Abuja.
The incumbent administration of Governor Seyi Makinde had alleged the Ajimobi administration of leaving behind huge debts for the state, a development he said has made ‘Oyo state to be insolvent.’
But Ajimobi had a contrary view, “if you look at the debts owed by each state in the country as published by DMO, you will see that Oyo State is not even among the first 10 states.
“United States is the number one debtor in the world. Government by nature and establishment must continue to have debt. They must be able to use people’s money to make money,” Makinde said.
He said that 50 percent of the debt owed by his administration was drawdown debt from the World Bank, adding less than 30 percent of it had been accessed.
According to him, “As we do the work, World Bank comes to verify and pay. We still have about 70 percent of it, so this administration can stop taking it if they don’t want it.”

Eid-el-Kabir: Makinde Felicitates Muslims

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has felicitated Muslims on the celebration of the 2019 Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who, in obedience to God’s directive, was ready to sacrifice his only son.

He admonished the Muslim Ummah in the state to reflect on the significance of the celebration, which he said bordered on encouraging piety, sacrifice and love, noting that without these, no state or society could advance.

Governor Makinde stated these in a Sallah Message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa.

“The significance of the season should be beyond the festivities. The real essence is to encourage piety, total commitment to Allah, self-discipline and sacrifice,” the Governor said.

The Governor further reiterated his administration’s commitment to uplifting the state through the expansion of its economy and ensuring that the state reclaims its pace-setter status in different sectors.

The Governor, however, enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the Eid-el-Kabir period to pray for the peace, prosperity and stability of the state and the country, adding that for the state to prosper and reach its full potential, its people must contribute their quota through prayers and support for the leaders.

Eid-el-Kabir: Senator Buhari Urges Prayers for Leaders

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Land Transport, Senator Abdulfatai  Buhari has urged Nigerians to intensify prayer for peace and progress of the Nation.
He said this in a congratulatory message to Muslim faithful on Eid el Kabir celebration.
Senator Buhari  in a press statement issued by his Media Office also admonished wealthy Nigerians to extend hands of charity to the underprivileged during the festive period to promote love and harmony.
While urging Nigerians to cultivate the habit of peaceful coexistence amongst all religious adherents in the country, Senator Buhari said ‘‘Peace is key to development and without it, living will be difficult.
The APC lawmaker representing Oyo North at the upper chamber of the National Assembly stated further that “ I am appealing to all Nigerians to use this period to make sacrifices of tolerance for peace to reign in the country.
“This period is key to all and we must take advantage of it and give room for permanent peace to engender growth and development in all sectors.’’
He maintained further that “we have no alternative to peace as conflict has never helped any society, tolerance holds the answer and we all must imbibe that as we celebrate this period of love.
He however urged his constituents and people of Oyo state to keep faith with the government and support leaders with prayers.

Sallah: Fasasi, Oyo MMPN Chairman Urges Muslim to Tolerate Xtians, Others

As Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid – Kabir, they have been enjoined to ensure peaceful co – existence with adherents of other religions.

This is contained in a statement in Ibadan by Chairman, Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), Oyo State, Alhaji Ridwan Fasasi.

Alhaji Fasasi said in line with the belief that the source of every man is linked to Prophet Adam, then, Muslims should see others as their brothers and sisters and they should relate peacefully with them.

The MMPN Chairman emphasized that peaceful co – existence is part of Islamic ethics as Prophet Muhammad as a leader in Medinah did not only live peacefully with others but was just to them irrespective of different tribal and religious affiliations .

Alhaji Fasasi admonished Muslims to imbibe the spirit of obedience, love, kindness and equality that Eid Kabir celebration stands for in their day to day activities.

He equally noted that faithfulness and the fear of Allah by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismail played prominent roles in the history of the celebration and urged Muslims to emulate the virtues.

Alhaji Fasasi also emphasized moderation in the celebration due to the current economic reality as the Almighty Allah will not be pleased with anyone who put unnecessary burden on himself.

The MMPN Chairman appealed to Nigerian leaders to fear Allah in their dealings as they would account for their stewardship before the Almighty.

He maintained that if Nigerian leaders have been Godly and always remember the tasks ahead of them with the Almighty Allah, the country would have been among the comity of developed nations.

Mount Arafat: Akinremi Jagaban wishes Gbajabiamila, other Hajj Pilgrims Success

As millions perform Arafat and Jamrat (throwing of stones to the devil) this morning (Saturday), a lawmaker representing Ibadan North federal constituency, Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi has prayed for the success of all Nigerians in Saudi Arabia as the year 2019 hajj exercise reached its peak.
Akinremi popularly called Jagaban in a special press statement to commemorate this year’s Arafat, particularly wished the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila the best of supplication at Mount Arafat.
Akinremi, the Vice Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology, said Mr. Speaker is showing in action and indeed that he is truly a religiously pious personality who will be guided by the dictates of Almighty Allah in discharging his assignment as the number four citizen of the most populous black nation on earth.
According to him, “that Mr. Speaker has joined millions to perform this year’s Hajj exercise is a confirmation that our leader is a rare breed who will be ready to embrace all religious creed, irrespective of tribe and racial inclination.
“With voice and heart, I wish Mr. Speaker the best of dua (prayer) as he supplicates to Allah for the greater good of majority of Nigerians and the success of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration,” Akinremi prayed.
In the same vein, the lawmaker congratulated Muslims in Ibadan North performing the hajj and urged them to pray for the growth and overall development of the constituency.
Said he, “I am also using this medium to congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters from my constituency, Ibadan North on this year’s hajj exercise.
“And I thank Allah for bestowing me with the grace to continue sponsorship of pilgrims for the seventh year running. I want to ensure that apart from the 17 who recently performed Umrah and the current 11 hajj pilgrims presently in Saudi Arabia, I will do more to ensure that scores of others, wiling to perform hajj in their lifetime, achieve same.
“All I ask for, is their continuous prayers, cooperation and understanding to succeed in the task at hand. I will never take them for granted. Safe return to all the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. Hajj Mabrur,” Akinremi Jagaban added.

Akinremi Jagaban Begins Free Holiday Coaching for 12, 000 Students

A total of 12, 000 students have been shortlisted to participate in the ongoing free holiday coaching organised by Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi (a.k.a. Jagaban) for the SSS 2 and SSS 3 students in all the 12 wards across Ibadan North local government area of Oyo state.

The annual free holiday coaching for the students writing WAEC, NECO and JAMB (UTME) examinations, according to Akinremi Jagaban representing Ibadan North in the House of Representatives, is part of the electoral promises he made to advance quality education for the pupils.

The programme captured under the Educational Support Scheme of Prince Akinremi Foundation (PAF), will allow students enjoy free and qualitative teaching from teachers and instructors recruited across some best schools in Ibadanland.

The overall coordinator of the exercise, Mr. Adio Azeez Ajibola commended the lawmaker for the laudable programme, which they noted would ensure the success of Ibadan North students, both in the public and private schools, writing the forthcoming public examinations.

The four-week free coaching which started on Monday, August 5, will cover two major subjects, English and Mathematics, which are often the subjects considerable number of students performed poorly over the years.

Hon. Akinremi Jagaban Centres for Free Tutorial are Nawarudeen Grammar School, Inalende; Islamic Mission Primary School, Odoye; IMG Grammar School, Igosun; and Methodist Grammar School Ojurin, Bodija.

Other locations are Methodist Primary school, Asunle, Bodija; Emmanuel College, Samonda; Chesire High School, Poly Road; New Eden Primary School, Besides Premier Hotel and St Bridges School, Mokola.

Akinremi Jagaban urged all the students in Ibadan North to make the best use of the opportunity and be good ambassadors of the constituency at all times.

 

Girls Advocate seeks Compulsory, Qualitative, Free education for Kids

Pastor Bridget Kolade, a girl-child advocate has enjoined government to provide compulsory, qualitative and free basic education for children to reduce the level of illiteracy in the country.

Kolade disclosed this in Ibadan on Thursday at the opening of the 2019 August Girls’ Assembly (AGA) organised by Worth-in-Womanhood arm of Vine Branch Ministries.

Kolade noted that to secure the future of Nigeria the federal government must play its role in bringing out the best in girl-child.

She said “Human being is not better than animal without education; that is what set the difference. So our children must know that compulsorily they must be in school.

“Any parent who doesn’t put his/her ward in school should be arrested, because the child doesn’t have a say of his own.

“At times when you go around you will see children hawking, three to four years old hawking, their parents should be arrested; if government is serious about changing our future because without these children there is future.

“Those who were put in air condition schools, their lives would be at the risk of those roaming the street because of lack of education.

We have many school children who cannot communicate in English language which is our lingua franca; I believe in mother tongue but a child must be able to communicate in English to be able to compete with the world.”

Kolade who is the coordinator of AGA stressed the need to inform girls on how protect themselves from sexual abuse which is on increase daily in the country.

“Our focus, more than ever before is to let the girl-child know that she is vulnerable by virtue of her makeup though she is loaded with beauty, honour and grace from God.

“So she must be very careful of how she handles herself against sexual abuse in particular. These children are bright and sharp if they know the right things to do to prevent themselves of being exposed to such evil.

“We have brought down our age to eight because we realise now that by age eight girls are now at puberty; so she must be aware of herself.”

She further said the event which aimed at impacting 2000 girls in Oyo State with the right information is promoting godliness in girls because that is the core; “when a child knows Christ as her saviour, rooted and grounded she will be able to rise above the waves of life when it comes.”

NAN reports that August Girls’ Assembly is one of the largest gatherings of girls in Oyo State, which commences from 8th to 10th August, 2019.

 

Shina Peller Institutes Endowment Fund for LAUTECH Graduating Students

A member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Shina Abiola Peller has instituted an endowment fund for the graduating students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

A press statement made available to Pacesetter Online by his press secretary, kola Popoola said the fund has been codenamed  “SHINA PELLER ENDOWMENT FUND’.

Popoola said the gesture would be for the overall best graduating student of the Chemical Engineering department of LAUTECH.

Shina Peller spoke at the logout week programme of LAUTECH 2019 graduating students, where he delivered a lecture on the topic, “Thinking outside the box”.

In his lecture, Hon. Peller reminded the graduating students that being graduates and possessing certificates is not enough to be successful in life, but the ability to think outside the box.

He explained that thinking outside the box entails identifying issues and problems in the society and finding lasting solutions to them through innovative and strategic approaches.

In his words, the businessman cum politician said, “teach yourself to look at problems more expansively, never be dismissive of a potential solution before you have thoroughly thought it through; think outside the proverbial box.”

Peller added that the endowment fund he is making available will be disbursed annually to the overall best graduating student of the same department he graduated from, years ago.

Earlier in the day upon his arrival in the school, Hon. Peller, in company of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Azeem Ige, was warmly received by the Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Professor Michael Olufisayo Ologunde, in his office.

Also, he seized the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, where he was wholeheartedly received by the Deputy Dean, Prof. Abolade and Head of Department, Chemical Engineering, Dr. S. E. Agarry.

Briefing them about the endowment fund, Hon. Peller said, “I am really impressed with what I have seen in the school today compared to our time.

“Regardless of the setback, LAUTECH is moving forward. As my contribution to this growth, I’ll start by donating an endowment fund from which an agreed amount will be given to the best graduating student from my department, Chemical Engineering, at every convocation ceremony.”
